Allan was predeceased by his wife Barbara, his parents Frank and Phyllis, his father and mother-in-law Joseph and Mary, his infant sister-in-law Geraldine, and his brother-in-law Ken Albert.
Dad and Mom were married August 13, 1966. Shortly after they started their family, Dad started out in heavy construction and later started his true passion which was trucking. Dad was a long haul truck driver. There aren’t too many places in North America that Dad hadn’t travelled to and brought home many stories to share. Before Dad retired at the age of 70, he received his million miles award with Yanke transport, although over the years he had driven millions of miles. Through his years, he had achieved many awards for safe driving. He was a part of the Manitoba Trucker’s Association, where he had won many titles in the MTA Trucking Rodeos. Dad was also qualified to train Class 1 student drivers. After Dad retired, there wasn’t a BBQ he would miss. He loved it when his kids and grandkids would come visit on weekends. He would always say nothing beats a good Klik sandwich.
