Obituary for Ray Penny

Ray Penny
Peacefully passed away at his home on March 8, 2018 at the age of 73. Ray was born in Winnipeg, MB on Feb 15, 1945. He graduated from Tec Voc high school and went on to further his career as an accountant. He enjoyed watching his sons grow up and made many memories with them. Then later in his life he married Linda and the two of them would start a new life together that would consist of travelling to Indonesia, and through parts of the United States with the travel trailer. As well as spending their winters at their home away from home in Texas, during the Manitoba summers they could be found at their camp site in Richer. Some of Ray’s hobbies consisted of working on model trains, frequenting antique auctions and could be found tinkering with vehicles in the garage with his sons & grandsons. For those that knew him, knew that he always got the last word in due to being stubborn & set in his ways, he always had to be right, this is what made our husband, dad & grandfather so special.

Ray was predeceased by his parents Jack & Beatrice Penny, along with his older brother Jim Penny.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife Linda (nee Tait), his 2 sons Steven (Cynthia), Chris,
Step-children: Warren (Yvonne) Flannery, Gail (Jason) Houghton. Grandchildren: Colin (Katherine), Nathaniel (Crystal), Justin, Alexander, Regan, Jacob, Olivia, Gillian, Brooklynn & Braeden. Ray also leaves behind his sister in law Shirley Penny and numerous nephews.

“Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us everyday. Unseen, Unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear”
